Use Natural Talents to Network
One of the main problems people have in making business connections is they believe it has to be all business.
You will find yourself most successful in networking when you let your natural talents and interests guide you.
How much business is really done in restaurants, on the golf course, at sporting events? Much more than you would think!
People have many, many interests outside of work. The person who is “all business” is really rather one dimensional and boring. When you are a 3-D dimensional person – someone who has avocations and outside interests that inspire and energize you – you are much more attractive to others, too.
Analyze yourself constantly. Most networking will work best when you tap into your own natural talents and interests. So think about what you already enjoy and do well, and look for ways to build on that.
